Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai recently participated in the Can Collection Drive organised by the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG), advocating the theme "Say 'Yes' to Can Recycling, 'No' to Carbon Emissions."

As part of the hotel’s sustainability initiatives led by the Human Resources and Engineering team, the hotel collected 73kg of cans and delivered them to EEG. The campaign aims to spread awareness about the need for waste management and recycling to protect the environment.

Mr. Simon Moore, the General Manager of Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai, expressed, “Waste stands as one of the foremost environmental challenges, and it is our responsibility to contribute to the ongoing protection of our environment. We are committed to actively participating in initiatives that promote an eco-friendly and sustainable society, ensuring the longevity of our planet for future generations. Since its inception in 1991 in the UAE, EEG has been at the forefront of the environmental conservation and sustainability movement. Among its recycling programmes, the “Can Collection Campaign” is its most successful, running since 1997. The campaign strives to foster a culture of effective waste management and recycling. It also works continuously to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and resource conservation to preserve nature's delicate balance and nurture a healthier planet for all.
