JW Marriott Hong Kong Bags Hat-trick Of Awards

JW Marriott Hong Kong recently scored a trio of awards.

The hotel’s Flint Grill & Bar was recently presented the awards for The Best Restaurant Steakhouse by Target Magazine for the fourth consecutive year in a row. Organised by a luxury lifestyle magazine in China, the award aims to recognise restaurants that demonstrate exceptional dining experiences, high service standards and overall ambience across 9 major cities in China such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Macau. This award comes after the restaurant clinched the Top 10 Wine Pairing Restaurant Award 2016 (Western Cuisine) – Recommended Restaurant by bi-lingual Hong Kong magazine WINE.Luxe.

Ms. Iris Chan, Director of Room Operations, was also conferred the honourable Women In Leadership Appreciation Award 2016 by Marriott International. Iris joined JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong as one of the opening team members 27 years ago, and has consistently shown her unwavering commitment to delivering service excellence, building strong bonds and lasting friendships with many loyal guests. The award also recognises Iris’ leadership at the workplace in her role as an inclusive and inspiring leader to her team which consists of housekeeping, front office, concierge and health club with about 300 associates. She exemplifies the essence of women in leadership and serves as a role model for her peers and younger generations.

Another worthy mention goes to Andy Yeung, Pastry Sous Chef of JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong, for being the only patissier in the Hong Kong Culinary National team to have won 2 Gold awards and 1 Silver award in the The IKA Culinary Olympics. The IKA Culinary Olympics is one of the most prestigious international culinary competitions held in Germany every four years. Andy and his team competed against 30 other top national teams across different categories and the result this year produced the best record for Hong Kong Team.
