Supporting a safe, inclusive and well-informed workplace, The Heritage Hotel Manila in the Philippines, recently conducted an HIV Awareness Seminar for its employees, reinforcing its commitment to health literacy, employee well-being and workplace inclusion.

The seminar featured Mr. Harvey Ballesteros Alvarez from My Hub Cares–Pasay, a clinic in Manila dedicated to HIV and sexual health services. Through an informative and engaging presentation, he covered key topics including HIV prevention, transmission, testing, treatment and early detection. He also highlighted the importance of dispelling misconceptions and reducing stigma through greater awareness, understanding and empathy.

The seminar provided employees with practical knowledge while encouraging compassion, respect and inclusivity both in the workplace and in the wider community. Participants also gained a deeper understanding of the role they can play in fostering a supportive environment built on dignity and mutual respect.
