Staff and families of Hong Leong Group had an early Sunday on 7 July 2019 for the annual Family Day and Walkathon. It was the largest turnout ever for Hong Leong’s walkathon with 812 staff and families participating across the Hong Leong Group of companies.

All participants gathered at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel at 7:45 am for the mass warm-up session, prepping for the 4.88km walkathon along the scenic Singapore River.

Mr Chia Ngiang Hong, CDL Group General Manager (2nd from right) and Mr Farid Alain Schoucair, General Manager, Grand Copthorne Waterfront (far right) also participated. They are pictured here with Mr Schori and Mr Twomey.

Waiting for the hungry participants after the walk was an appetising buffet breakfast prepared by the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.

Booths were set up to engage the young participants, such as the carnival games, balloon sculpture and airbrush tattoo. Adults were all in line for the complimentary massage provided by the Singapore Association Of The Visually Handicapped.

To keep this annual event fresh, the organiser gotten new entertainment such as the digital caricature and Poof! The Magical Clown Magic Show & Balloon Show. The event ended with everyone's favourite segment, the lucky draw!
