On 15 July, 750 staff and family members participated in the Hong Leong Group Sports and Recreation Club (HLGSRC) Family Day Walkathon. This year, participants enjoyed a leisurely 5km scenic walk around the Singapore River, where they passed beautiful local sights along Boat Quay, Read Bridge, and The Promontary @ Marina Bay.

While it drizzled early on in the morning, it did not dampen the spirits, and staff and their families gamely completed the walk before rewarding themselves with a scrumtious breakfast buffet at Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. An array of activities were planned to entertain all ages, such as carnival games, a magic show, stilt walkers, balloon sculptures, shoulder massages and caricatures. Booths were also set up for vendors including Irvins Salted Egg, known for its salted egg fried fish skin and potato chips, Cookies 4 U, and Celestial Care, which sells body and haircare products made with goat's milk. A lucky draw was also held, where 67 winners went home with prizes such as shopping vouchers and product hampers.
