Race Week

Millennium Resort Mussanah recently hosted the participants of the Mussanah Race Week, a highly-anticipated multi-class regatta organised by Oman Sail, a non-profit organisation that focuses on making sailing accessible to the Omani public. The ninth edition of the race saw 125 sailors from 21 countries aged eight to 16.

The resort was a great location for the race, situated along of Gulf of Oman, with a private beach as well as rooms that offer adrenaline-filled views of the action on the water. The event featured four days of racing following three days of coaching and a practice race, with training camps for each class or boat type.

The race week saw 125 sailors aged eight to 16 compete in five boat classes in the Gulf of Oman.

The resort team also designed special packages for event participants, coaches and supporters, including entry fee, boat charter, airport transfers, accommodation, and access to property amenities and facilities.

Millennium Resort Mussanah General Manager Mr Dermot Birchall said, “The Sultanate of Oman is a country of breathtaking natural beauty. Surrounded by the Gulf of Oman, Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea, the country showcases great sailing conditions, amazing backdrop and extreme hospitable environment. We were delighted to host the participants of the event along with their coaches and supporters. The team at the property focused on delivering a warm and welcoming setting, along with fun-filled relaxing and adventure activities. We would like to congratulate the winners of the race week and would be glad to host more such events to showcase the natural beauty and hospitality of this hidden Arabian gem.”
