The St. Regis Singapore, W Singapore – Sentosa Cove, Grand Hyatt Taipei and Millennium Seoul Hilton have recently charted on Forbes Travel Guide 2019 Star Awards. In its 61st year, the Forbes Travel Guides has its inspectors stay incognito at luxury hotels around the globe to suss out the best, with ratings based on service and facilities.

Described as a “gleaming, Art Deco-style skyscraper”, The St. Regis Singapore was awarded four stars by the guide. With 299 lavish guestrooms and suites and the signature St. Regis butler service, the hotel also offers a wide range of culinary options and wellness amenities including a marble steam room and outdoor reflexology pool.


Remède Spa at The St. Regis Singapore offers guests a dazzling array of decadent, relaxing treatments, ranging from warm jade stone massages and warm rhassoul clay wraps.

Remède Spa Singapore, located at The St. Regis Singapore, also earned four stars in the spa category. The urban haven provides an exciting yet relaxing time for guests, with treatments, ranging from deep-tissue massages to clay wraps, deftly customised to suit various needs. The spa also offers distinctive experiences such as the floral tea ritual, and has treatments exclusive to the Singapore location.


Located on Sentosa Island, W Singapore – Sentosa Cove offers one of Singapore’s largest resort outdoor pools outfitted with underwater speakers, canopied sun loungers and sparkling views of the South China Sea.

On Sentosa, W Singapore – Sentosa Cove is a fun and funky escape for tourists and locals alike, with pop art and bold sculptures, and hip and trendy room furnishings. The hotel earned a ‘Recommended’ rating on the travel guide, which highlighted the 14,400 square foot pool that is open 24/7, excellent room service and in-room amenities.


The stylish Grand Hyatt Taipei is located in the Xinyi District, close to conference and event centres and the Xinyi shopping district. The guide also noted that the hotel has made several technological upgrades, such as triple-line telephones, free Wi-Fi and easy-to-access universal plugs, which would be much appreciated by business travellers.

Earning four stars is Grand Hyatt Taipei, which has been placed on the list for the fourth consecutive year. Offering refreshed elegance in the Taiwanese city, the first and largest international five-star hotel in Taiwan continues to draw a loyal following of international business and leisure travellers since its opening. It was also noted for its prime location and easy access to Taipei 101 and Taipei World Trade Centre.


Located in the heart of Seoul’s business and shopping district, guests can opt to stay at the Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Namdaemoon Suite (pictured above), a luxurious two-storey suite with separate a separate living room, dining room, kitchenette, and two bathrooms.

Holding some of Korea’s Old World charms yet firmly rooted in modern South Korea, Millennium Seoul Hilton scored a ‘Recommended’ rating. A luxury spot located in Seoul’s business hub near Seoul Station, guests can expect a host of wellness-related amenities and plush, contemporary guestrooms. The guide noted the standout Namdaemoon Suite, which spans two floors and 4,144 square feet, with opulent marble flooring, a spiral staircase, and views of both the city and Namsan Mountain.
